Bloomberg has an interesting piece out arguing that Apple's penchant for secrecy is inhibiting the company's efforts to develop artificial intelligence. While Apple has invested heavily in AI technologies and AI acquisitions, it has published no papers, doesn't let its employees announce their positions at Apple, and participates as a lurker at AI conferences.
